If your character is familiar with sci-fi or even just pop culture, there's a good chance they'll recognize Data immediately. This is perfectly fine! I do request, humbly, that they do not explicitly tell Data that he is from a TV show and four movies. A strange familiarity is fine, and he'll find it intriguing, but don't tell him he's not real. Isn't the android thing enough for one life form to deal with?

Is your character a scientist? Incredibly gifted with very advanced technology? Would they like to tinker with Data, either for good or evil?
